REAL LIFE ESCAPE GAME IN MONTREAL

IMAGINE A COMPUTER GAME IN REAL WORLD

A/Maze is a real-life escape room game that offers you unique and immersive adventures in Montreal Downtown and West Island. Our games are a great test of your survival skills and problem solving. Experience a situation you will never encounter in real life. Imagine 1926 prison with metal cell bars, solitary room and evidence board on the wall. Or a secret lab of a genius who went crazy and decided to destroy the world. Sounds like a computer game? But it is as real as it can get.

Each scenario exists in its own reality. You have to find clues, crack codes, solve puzzles and most importantly – work as a team in order to pass all the challenges. False clues and misleading trails, deadlocks and blind leads will consume your time and test your patience. Everything has its consequences. The game time is limited, so there is barely any time to fool around – the countdown begins as soon as you enter the room.

Prove your worthiness. Veni Vidi Vici and don’t forget to escape before it is too late.

On the website it says 1 player left for the time slot. Is it for one person or one game?

Our reservation page shows the number of players currently available for each time slot. When it displays 1 players, it indicates there is only room for one additional player to be added for that time slot.

We reserved for 3 people however we want to add an extra player, what should we do?

Visit our Downtown reservations page or West Island reservations page. If there are spaces available, just make another reservation for the extra player. However if you see that the desired time is full, it means other players also reserved the same game and the maximum room capacity is reached. So you can reserve another time slot and send us an email to booking@amazemontreal.com to cancel the old one.

We are a group of 6 to 10 people, can we play all together?

The scenarios at A/Maze are designed with a maximum number of players in mind. This allows for all players to participate and have the best overall experience. The maximum per room cannot exceed five (5) for the prison break, military base  and mad scientist laboratory and four (4) for the lost temple scenario. The maximum per room at our West Island location is five(5) for all three rooms(Pirate Ship, Museum Robbery and Circus).

If you are 6 – 10 people, we may have to separate you into multiple teams.

We are team of 2-3-4 participants. Is it possible that someone else plays with us?

If the maximum capacity of the room is not reached, there is a chance that other(s) will join your game. However, if you are 4 participants, it is very rare that a single person joins your group.

We want to play just the 2 or 3 of us, is it possible?

Yes, it is possible, however there is a 5$ fee for every open space left. If you desire to secure your space, reserve online for 5 people and contact us at escape@amazemontreal.com

We reserved for 5 people however there are only 3 of us coming, do we have to pay for the missing players?

There is a 5$ no show fee for every reserved spot that goes unfilled. This fee will be divided among the attending players. If people have cancelled on you, give us a call or send us an email to update your reservation.

You took a picture of me and my team. Where and when can i find it?

All photos are posted on our facebook page at Facebook.com/AmazeMontreal within three days of your experience. You will receive an email once the photos are uploaded.

Why it's 13+?

Our activities are for all ages; however some elements might be more challenging for players under the age of 13. Therefore we ask for at least one adult participant to be among a younger group.

What are the methods of payment?

You can pay on arrival; we accept cash, credit card or debit card. You can also pay online by credit card or PayPal when you make your reservation.

You are closed on my birthday, how can I still play for free?

You can come one day before or one day after your birthday to redeem your free game.

Are games in french or in english?

Prison Break, Mad Scientist Laboratory, Military Facility, Pirate Ship, Museum Robbery and Circus scenarios are fully bilingual.

Lost temple does not involve any reading at all!

Can we do a corporate team building exercise / birthday party / special event at A/Maze?

Sure. A/Maze is a perfect place for group event!

At our Downtown location, we can host up 50 people. Up to 20 people can play simultaneously and up to 25 people will each play one game within one hour. For those waiting for their turn, we have a designated lounge area next to our reception with table games, foosball and X-Box. Catering can also be arranged – we work closely with a restaurant called Le Bon Vivant. But you can always use your own catering company. If you decide to bring food, there is a fixed fee of 75$ (+tax).

At our West Island Location has 3 different experiences, where up to 15 people can play simultaneously. We don’t have any designated area to wait, but there is whole shopping mall available. We have a café Java U next door, where a part can be reserved for the participants.

A minimum reservation of 2 hours is required to rent A/Maze entirely. For more information visit our Team Building Activity page.

Do you sell food, alcohol or can we bring food?

We don’t sell any food or alcohol. However, we have a vending machine at A/Maze Downtown location and Java U cafe next door at our West Island location.

What happens if we win?

In addition to all the bragging rights, your team will have the chance to sign our winner’s board which is displayed in the A/Maze Downtown hall of fame.

A/Maze West Island has a special medallion system. At the end of each game, you can find a piece of special medallion that you can keep. When you will have all three pieces of medallion, you can exchange it for a special prize.

Is it scary or are there any tasks that require physical strength or special abilities?

No, nothing will jump on you or chase you and no physical force is required to solve any of our puzzles/problems.

Is the building barrier free and wheelchair accessible?

A/Maze Downtown is located within an old industrial building that is not barrier free and therefore it is not wheelchair accessible.

Unfortunately, although our West Island location is situated inside the shopping mall, all our rooms require either taking steps or getting under or over some objects.

Do you have a parking?

Our A/Maze West Island is situated inside the CF Fairview shopping mall with plenty of parking around.

Unfortunately, A/Maze Downtown does not have a parking lot but you may park on the streets surrounding A/Maze.
